Bright Eyes has given away a song from his new album The People’s Key. It’s called “Shell Games” and it’s not your usual Bright Eyes. It leans toward his alternative side more so than folk. I don’t know how the Bright Eyes devotees will feel, but I like it just fine.

I suppose I’m in the minority but I’ve always preferred Bright Eyes when he’s more alternative and less folky. My favorite albums from him are “LIFTED…” and “Digital Ash…” so this is a welcome return for me.
