Cloud Nothings

By Will, January 11th 2011 Other

Cloud Nothings are a young band that is causing a lot of excitement around these parts. What started as a bedroom project for Cleveland native Dylan Baldi has blossomed into a full fledged band that is worth following.

Later this month (January 25th) the band will release their debut self titled album on Car Park Records. Below you can hear two pretty stellar songs from the album. They radiate with youthful passion and hopefulness. These are garage rock tunes that are catchy, fun, and very addicting. Check out “Should Have” & “Understand At All” below:

The band have teamed up with Toro Y Moi for a spring tour as well as a split 7″ that will be sold ahead of time on the upcoming tour. Both of the songs featured are new and exclusive. Toro Y Moi contributes “I Will Talk To You” while Cloud Nothings contributes “For No Reason.” I’m going to see their show next week at Mercury Lounge with the lovable Indian Rebound. I may pick up a few 7″. Let me know if you want one, and we can work something out.
