R.I.P. Trish Keenan Of Broadcast

By Will, January 14th 2011 — with 1 comment News

I won’t pretend to say that I’ve been listening to Broadcast for years. Truthfully, I just never got around to it. Even so, it still saddens me to hear that their singer Trish Keenan, passed away this morning after battling pneumonia. It’s always sad to see people go, but as a music blog I felt it was only right to honor her, even though I never listened to their music.

Below is the official statement from Warp, the bands label:

I am planning on checking out Broadcast today as a way to honor them. I’ve heard great things about them, and I’m sure they will be great. Maybe you can do the same.

R.I.P. Trish Keenan.

Very sad, a good band too. Pneumonia is a bitch, both my daughters had it when they were babies. They pulled through but it was touch and go for a little while, and absolutely heartbreaking. Cannot imagine what her family and friends are going through right now. Tragic. Shall be digging out some of their stuff tonight.
