As I posted yesterday, Wild Beasts new album Smother is coming out May 10th via Domino Records. Frank from Listen Before You Buy has a radio rip of the album’s first single, “Albatross”, which was played by BBC Radio One.
It’s actually a great rip. The band puts everything on full display here, giving room for the bruised vocals. The vocals sound haunted and cold, a perfect partner in crime for the atmospheric backdrop that the band creates musically. It’s a breathtaking listen that may take a toll on you if you’re not careful.
