I just live blogged my first listen to Alex Turner’s Submarine EP, and now I wanted to see what you thought of two of it’s standouts tracks, “Piledriver Waltz” & “Stuck On The Puzzle”
It begins with a clean acoustic guitar strumming side by side with a easy going bassline. Turner’s delivers his lyrics in a calm but focused delivery that is smooth and confident. Basically everything that makes Alex Turner a great songwriter shines through “Piledriver Waltz”.
“Stuck On The Puzzle” dazzles as well. It makes me feel like I don’t have a problem in the world. I feel liberated and carefree while listening to this. Now that’s good songwriting my friends.
