[new] Burial – NYC

By Will, March 25th 2011 — with 1 comment New Stream

Yesterday we heard “Street Halo” & “Stolen Dog” from Burial’s upcoming “Street Halo” 12″, and now “NYC” has crept online. It’s a seven and a half minute long jam that makes every second count. It breathes cold dark air into your room. It’s a track that takes it time to get you where it’s headed. Slow & steady, playing out like a long subway ride from Brooklyn to Midtown at 4am when you’re already hungover and reaching for your bed.

“NYC” is really speaking to me at 1am. I don’t know how Burial does it. He’s done it yet again. The Street Halo 12″ is one hell of a release.

In addition to the Thom Yorke/Four Tet 12″, two new Burial songs from the English producers upcoming EP, The Street Halo, have already surfaced via BBC radio rips – but “NYC” comes in the form of a crispy semi-crispy mp3 stream, below.
