Band To Watch: Motopony

By Will, April 11th 2011 — with 1 comment Band To Watch

Motopony are a folk band from Seattle. Don’t you go rolling your eyes just yet. They may fit the Seattle folk stereotype, but it’s its for good reason. There’s always room for engaging, heartfelt, folk rock in my musical diet.

“King Of Diamonds” and “Wait For Me” are warm cries of emotion that are impossible to ignore. Motopony are not just the latest folk fad. These guys have a warm effective glow to songwriting that is going to take them a long, long, way.

Stream the aforementioned songs below, and prepare for their self titled debut album, which will be released on May 24th via tinyOGRE.

I love “King of Diamonds”. I’ve been wanting to post it on Pop’stache.com for a while now.
