The Belligerents are a 5 piece band from Australia that have got me very excited. I’ve only heard two of their songs, but it was enough of a taste to leave me wanting more.
They are a self described “dance/disco/punk band”, and it’s actually spot on. Their songs will make you want to dance, and you’ll have no shame doing so. Laying down smart grooves and funky guitars that are something of a hybrid between Foals, and Explosions In The Sky. These guys will not only make you dance your ass off, but they will throw colorful melodies that won’t leave your head, and you won’t want them to.
People are getting too serious about what they are listening to. There’s always room for bands that make you feel great. The Belligerents are one of those bands. The best part is they’re only getting started.
