[new] The National – Exile Vilify

Great bands are able to constantly put out new material that will continue to amaze you just as much as their albums do. The National are one of these bands. It seems like they have a never ending well of material that is just waiting to wow the world.

Today they released, “Exile Vilify”, a new song put towards the soundtrack for the videogame Portal 2. Random, I know, but all that I’m concerned about is the song. Truthfully, I’m blown away. This song is gorgeous. It’s composition takes me away from all my daily concerns. Matt Berninger and the rest of the band guide you towards a comfortable setting in your mind that you can enjoy at any time. To me, that’s what “Exile Vilify” means.
