[UPDATE]: See a new trailer for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (posted on 9/22)
That’s right. Trent Reznor and Karen O teamed up to record a cover for Led Zeppelin’s legendary “Immigrant Song”. They recorded the cover for the upcoming David Fincher film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Reznor helped Fincher out with the score for The Social Network, and even won an Oscar because of his work.
The song is attatched to the red-band trailer of the film. The trailer and (what we hear of the) song are pretty mind blowing. Check it out below:

When it comes to “unhinged”, Trent Reznor has proven once again that he’s the go-to guy. The choice of Karen O was a welcome surprise. I always had my doubts that a female singer would be able to make sense in Reznor’s music and this talented, inventive, unique lady has put my doubts to rest. It’s the best cover of this particular song I’ve ever heard.
