Justin D’Onofrio is a 24 year old from Goshen, Connecticut who goes by the moniker of Grandpa Was A Lion. He has stunned me with his spine-chilling epic, “In A Dream”, taken from his new EP, Archaic.
What begins as a hazy almost (very) early Animal Collective track – tripped out vocals mixed with acoustic guitars transforms into something more simply because of Justin’s voice. His voice mesmerizes you hitting notes that sound as if he’s lost in the song, trying to escape, but soon realizing that the dream isn’t so bad.
I fell in love with “In A Dream” instantly, yet I love the song more and more upon each repeated listen. This is a beauty, you must download this right now:
