The Killers have been working on some new songs, even with their numerous solo albums. Our first taste of this new material is “The Rising Tide” a song they debuted at their show in London last night. The song is so new that Brandon Flowers admits to having the lyrics at his side. I know the song is as fresh as can be, but it’s not doing anything for me. I defend my fandom of their earlier work because I’m a sucker for big pop hooks over dancey beats.
The Killers really need to come back big with this next album. You could say that they have a lot to prove after Day & Age, which didn’t age very well.
