Big Deal are releasing their debut album Lights Out on October 11th via Mute. The release is still somewhat far off, but the band has treated us with an early listen of the first single, “Chair”.
Every song that we’ve heard from the band has been impressive on all fronts. They usually lay on a more bare bones acoustic setting, which makes this single an excited listen. It features a mix of lively electric guitar going toe-to-toe with an acoustic. The band has a keen ear for melody. At it’s core “Chair” has pop elements that you won’t be able to shake.
What a single. If you’ve been ignoring Big Deal, now’s the time to start paying attention. Seriously.
