Colossal Gospel – Bitter Man

By Will, July 26th 2011 MP3

Colossal Gospel are Chris Johnson & Stephen Weibelt from Leeds, Alabama. They spent six months writing their debut album, Circles, in small Alabama homes, closets, hallways, and bedrooms. This intimate recording process can be heard inside of “Bitter Man”, a song whose warmth overshadows it’s recording process.

The lead vocals are reminiscent of Beirut’s Zach Condon, which is an impressive feat. “Bitter Man” has great vocals, and delicate playing that all adds up to great recording.

Remember the time when music was made with pure heart and soul? If not that’s ok, Colossal Gospel will show you.
