Rewards a.k.a. Aaron Pfenning used to be in Chairlift. Now he’s crafting his own solo beats, such as his new single, “Equal Dreams” which features Solange Knowles. It’s a fusion of tropical sounds meshed together with those late night thoughts that usually make so much more sense at the moment. The cool thing with Rewards is that Aaron does make sense of all his thoughts.

“Equal Dreams” is being released as a single by DFA on July 25 (purchase it here). A full length album will be released later this year. For now, take a listen to the single:

Rewards has a few local shows scheduled in the next few weeks. Tomorrow he’s playing at the Cameo Gallery, he’s at the Manhattan Inn on August 4, and back at the Cameo Gallery on August 18.
