Overlord – What Do You Want Me For?

By Will, August 22nd 2011 — with 2 comments Stream

Overlord may sound like a metal bands name but you got them all wrong. They are a indie pop band from Brooklyn. Listen to single “What Do You Want Me For?” from their already released 2011 album, In Soviet Russia, My Heart Breaks You.

It’s as feel good and delightful as warm indie rock should be. It’s truly a shame I’m only discovering them now.

The album was released on April 1st via Storm Tower Records. For more on Overlord visit them on their website or facebook.

I wonder if the band name is a reference to the video game? With an album title like that, I could certainly see it.
