Next to Hot Chip stand the might Chromatics for the best performances of the weekend. Their daytime performance at the festival would have won, if not for the bands intimate show at Lincoln Hall. This was my first time in an actual Chicago venue, and I was extremely impressed (think of it as Bowery Ballroom, way more modern, and a little bit smaller).

Vampire Weekend’s very own Baio started things off with a DJ set, soon handing the deck to Chromatics. They played a similar set as before, but the setting and time just fit that much better. The bands late night themed electronic tales were not wasted at all, giving me justification for my recent all out obsession for the band.

These guys are one of the strongest acts going around guys; don’t miss on a chance to see them live.
