Club Clique turns “Video Games” on it’s head and deliver an absolutely enjoyable remix that will surely be on my next party playlist. Here’s what the Manchester boys Club Clique had to say about it:

The second we heard this song we fell in love. We knew instantly that it needed to be stripped down and rebuilt for the Club Clique dancefloor with fingerclicks, disco strings and glittering pop magic.

We’re proud to be the only remixers to work on both sides of Lana’s upcoming double A-side – we’ll be releasing our explosive remix of ‘Blue Jeans’ very soon.

Spectrals – Get A Grip

By Will, September 24th 2011

“Get A Grip” is a super suave lounge jam from Spectrals, the project of West Yorkshire’s Louis Jones. It’s super smooth and something that is making my ear infection a little less brutal.

“Get A Grip” is on his debut LP, Bad Penny, out on October 25 via Slumberland Records.

[new]: Kele – What Did I Do (Feat. Lucy Taylor)

By Will, September 22nd 2011 — with 10 comments

New Kele song called “What Did I Do” which features Lucky Taylor. It’s gonna be on a new EP titled The Hunter that will be released on November 7.

After Silent Alarm, I was a huge fan of Bloc Party. To be honest, my love for them has quickly faded. This song doesn’t do anything for me except long for a new Bloc Party record. A real Bloc Party record.

Don’t know what happened with Kele, but this direction doesn’t work for me. Take a listen below and let me know if you agree or disagree.

New The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trailer

By Will, September 22nd 2011

Oh man this new trailer for David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is spine chilling good. It features some bits of Trent Reznor and collaborator Atticus Ross’s score for the film. They won an Oscar for their work for The Social Network, and chances are they will compete again for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.

Watch the gripping trailer below:

The film will be released in theaters on December 21st. A midnight showing for sure.

Facebook Adds New Music Integration System

By Will, September 22nd 2011

It was only a matter of time until facebook seriously integrated music into it’s social network system. It wasn’t enough just to have people constantly sharing youtube links in order to share music easily with friends. Today Facebook announced a partnership with companies such as Spotify, Turntable.fm, Vevo, and MOG, that will bring music discovery and social networking to your facebook experience. You can listen to the same songs as your friends, give them recommendations, and see what is trending with your network.

I got to say, if this turns out as well as it sounds, this could be a winning moment for all us music geeks on facebook who love sharing music. I’m all for it. It’s funny that this announcement comes a day after they revealed the new facebook which (as usual) saw many complaints from it’s users

[new]: Gauntlet Hair – Keep Time

By Will, September 22nd 2011

Gauntlet Hair have been unstoppable so far. Sure they’ve only shared a few released, but all of them have been incredible. This is also true for “Keep Time” a new song that will kick off their debut album, out on October 18 via Dead Oceans.

The Denver duo never shy away from the reverb which is always a good thing. Who doesn’t love some echo-y goodness?
