[new]: Twin Shadow – Changes

By Will, September 15th 2011

Twin Shadow is hard at work at a new album that should be released sometime in 2012. To keep fans at ease, he released his reworking of Baggare’s very 1980′s song, “Circus Is Gone”.

George Lewis, Jr. of the band goes on to say:

They call it Circus Is Gone, I call it Changes.

Korallreven – As Young As Yesterday (Feat. Victoria Bergsman)

By Will, September 15th 2011 — with 1 comment

Korallreven have finally announced details for their debut album, An Album by Korallreven. I’m happy to final see a proper release become announced after digging all of the singles that they’ve released already. It will drop November 15 via Acéphale.

“As You As Yesterday” is the lead-off track from the album, seeing Victoria Bergsman of Taken By Trees lending some guest vocals (it’s not her first time). It’s more ecstasy dream goodness form these crafty Swedes. This could have been a perfect summer record, but it will do fine warming us up through the likely harsh winter that will be here in no time.

Rihanna – Only Girl (In The World) (Ricky Eat Acid Remix)

By Will, September 14th 2011 — with 1 comment

While digging through Jamie xx’s incredible mix for FACT Mag, I was curious of one of the samples/snippets he used. It turns out it’s a remix of Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In The World)” done by Ricky Eat Acid. He puts the song in an entirely different world creating a moody track that is really something.

Download it below and be sure to check out Jamie xx’s fact mix.

[Introducing]: The Doozies

By Will, September 14th 2011 — with 3 comments

The Doozies are brothers Henry and Dave Van Dusen. They make some pretty amazing garage rock out of Washington, DC. I was tipped off to them by my friend Jimmy and have really been enjoying their self titled album. It’s available to stream over at bandcamp and it’s available to buy at a name your own price value.

It’s a collection of 17 songs full of sweat, heart, and fuzz. What sounds bad about that? Nothing. Listen to it below and support them over at bandcamp.

“Not Long Now” is a new track from James Blake that will be on his upcoming EP, Enough Thunder. “Fall Creek Boys Choir”, his collaboration with Bon Iver will also appear on the EP.

“Not Long Now” was played on BBC Radio 1 host Gilles Peterson’s show last night, and it’s available to listen to online. It’s more fragile moments from the always delicate Blake who hasn’t lost anything along the way.

[new]: Wavves – Destroy (Feat. Fucked Up)

By Will, September 14th 2011

One Thirty BPM has pointed out that “Destroy” is the latest track from Wavves’ Life Sux EP to leak. Fucked Up certainly gives the track a bit of a hardcore kick that is sure to make all those moshers go even crazier at those always frantic Wavves shows.
