[new] Betty Airs – Juvenile

By Will, September 12th 2011

Betty Airs are a band we first posted about in March. The Sydney 4-piece have since returned with a new song titled “Juvenile”. It’s full of all the best garage rock qualities that are impossible to ignore. These guys got the right mindset, and it shows.

It’s a bandcamp exclusive single that you can stream below and purchase here if you feel up to it.

[new]: Leisure – Green Light

By Will, September 12th 2011

Totally slept on a brand new track from Leisure titled “Green Light”. It’s a gorgeous track soaked with all the best intentions of the (gloriously) sad 80s rock. It’s another song from their debut album Plastic Soul, which may be the surprise of the fall. Don’t sleep on these guys. You’ll regret it.

Download “Green Light” below:

[new]: Girls – Love Life

By Will, September 12th 2011

Girls new album, Father, Son, Holy Ghost comes out tomorrow via True Panther. “Love Life” is a bonus track that you get if you buy it on iTunes. It’s a sunny track that sits with a vintage glow that would’ve worked fine on Album. Makes sense why it’s a bonus track.

Take a listen below via Disco Naïveté.

Brilliant music video for Summer Camp’s (already) classic single, “Better Off Without You”. Split screen images of the band in the present with vintage footage sharing the other side. It works magically, giving us a perfect imagine to a song that already worked so well.

It was directed by The Kissinger Twins, and is available to watch below:

[new] Justice – Helix

By Will, September 12th 2011

Here’s more new Audio, Visual, Disco, Justice for you in the form of “Helix”. Stereogum just posted a stream of the track and this is more like it. Solid track all and all. Almost like a mixture of Daft Punk and Ratatat. I think we’re all fine with that.

[new] Coldplay – Paradise

By Will, September 12th 2011

“Paradise” is the next single from Coldplay’s upcoming LP, Mylo Xyloto. The album doesn’t come out until October 25th (via Capitol Records) but the new single is already here.

It’s got all the qualities of a sweeping anthem that Coldplay have made a living out of. It starts with sweltering swings and soon transcends towards those sky scraping melodies that just beg to fill an arena near you. This is grand Coldplay, and I’m all about it.

Take a listen below:

It will be available to purchase in the next few hours over at Coldplay’s website.
