[new]: Coldplay – Princess Of China (Feat. Rihanna)

By Will Oliver, October 17th 2011 — with 6 comments New Stream

At first glance, you’re probably questioning Coldplay‘s move to collaborate with pop princess Rihanna. But then you realize that it’s actually not as odd as it sounds, as they are two of the biggest stars of their respective genres.

Get used to hearing “Princess Of China” because my instincts tell me that we’re bound to months of constant airplay of this single. Coldplay are radio juggernauts as it is. Throw Rihanna and a big fat hook into the mix, and you got a sure fire hit. You may as well try to love it, cause it’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

It’s a pretty good pop effort that’s likely to be stuck in my head all week, whether I like it or not.

“Princess Of China” is off of Mylo Xyloto, out on October 24. The song is sure to spark a debate between fans of both artists. What do you think of it?

This post is spot-on. I’ll probably dig this for about a week until I start waking up to it every day on the radio.

Nice tactic of cutting off the actual video from Youtube! Never seen that one before. I’d love to do that on my own blog (Soundcloud is such a bitch sometimes).

oops… Guess I spoke too soon on the Youtube thing… your link is down. Ironically, Soundcloud still has it as of this moment.

    Try now Gayla!

I gotta disagree. Charlie Brown is their next single and that will be a massive single around the globe. Hurt’s Like Heaven will most likely be a single as well.
