Good news Bloc Party fans. The band has signed to Frenchkiss Records, proving that they have not broken up, regardless of what the media says. Bloc Party frontman Kele posted the following message on their website this morning:
It is with great pleasure that i would like to announce to the universe that Bloc Party have now signed to Frenchkiss Records. This signing has made Bloc Party very happy because not only do we know and love the people at this label but we know and love this labelâ€™s output. Frenchkiss has released some mighty fine music over the years, music that has gone on to influence this very band.
So hereâ€™s to some more mighty fine musicâ€¦
We can expect a new album sometime soon. In the meantime the band has announced a summer tour of festivals. No New York date yet, but hopefully that will change this fall. Hit the jump for the dates.
