Brooklyn up-and-comers Friends have finally announced the details of their debut album. It’s titled Manifest! and will be released via Fat Possum on June 5.
After releasing two stunning singles last year (“I’m His Girl†and “Friend Crushâ€), the band is finally going to give us an album worth of dance worthy jams. The album features 12 tracks recorded at Strange Weather studios between last summer/this spring. The band self produced it.
The first taste of the album is the awesome “Mind Control”. It’s a funky song that features elements of disco and dance that really radiates with a New York City nightlife sound.
They are playing Bowery Ballroom on July 7. Hope to see you there.
