The Roots kicked off their set in proper fashion, cover The Beastie Boys “Paul Revere” as a tribute to MCA. I knew the show was going to be great from that point on. The band has a reputation as a top tier live act, and they lived up to it. It was soulful set that blended all genres into one great big ball. It was a pleasure to see ?uestlove hard at work, he truly is a one of a kind drummer behind that kit.

Musicaly, The Roots put on one of the best shows of Bonnaroo. They were ultra smooth, and a lot of fun, with plenty of covers and jams that any fan of music could appreciate.
