Before Saturday, TV On The Radio were high up on my list of bands to finally see. So, I had probably what you could call “unfairly high hopes” going in. I left very pleased, which isn’t too much of a surprise.

Tunde Adebimpe showcased tremendous energy, complemented by the sturdy grace of Kyp Malone and of course, the notable presence of Dave Sitek. The band’s material is transcribed with a different feeling than recorded. It’s adjusted to a fine point live where you can distinguish the bands’ emotions, and how it impacts their playing.

The set was one that any fan would adore, pulling out the best cuts from all of their releases. It was great to finally hear “Wolf Like Me”, and let the band release all of life’s tensions into the outer banks of the island.

These guys are still one of the best bands going. No doubt.

Find a gallery of photos from their set below.
