Saint Motel brought their A-game, delivering a well balanced set of enjoyable rockers and big dance-rock anthems. They too just released their debut album, Voyeur. After speaking to the guys after the show, I realized how they have done pretty much everything on their own, which just makes the whole thing that more impressive. You can tell the band works hard, as it shows on stage. The tunes were good, but the band has a genuine joy about them onstage, and they wanted to share this feeling with everyone in the crowd. During the last song of their set they invited fans on stage resulting in a really awesome moment.

Races opened up the show with a stellar set that was plenty worthy of a headlining spot anywhere. The LA band brought the tunes from their debut album The Year Of The Witch. It was a good mix of big anthems and slow builders that all hit home on the rock pedigree. Sounding really tight and seasoned, it amazed me that they only just released their debut (stream it here // buy it here).

Check out photo gallery’s from both sets after the jump.
