Hi Custodian is a short film from Dirty Projectors that features music from Swing Lo Magellan, their fantastic new album. Frontman Dave Longstreth directed it.

The film will premiere online on Pitchfork.TV/Youtube on September 7, but us lucky New Yorkers can catch the film in the cinema one day earlier, on September 6. The premiere will take place at the Landmark Sunshine Cinema (wonderful place), and it’s free!

There are two showings, one at 8 p.m., and one at 10 p.m. Both will be followed by Q&A sessions with Dave Longstreth, director of photography Bobby Bukowski and members of the band.

To get in you just need to RSVP by emailing ash@pitchfork.com and specify which screening you’d like to attend. Seating is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. Hopefully see you there.

The film’s trailer is available to watch below.
