Foxygen’s “Shuggie” is a soulful jam that sounds like it’s taken from a completely distant era. It’s a modern take on throwback am radio rock that artist like Ariel Pink have recently mastered. You can also here some Bowie and Velvet Underground in there.
There are just good groovy vibes spinning throughout the entire duration of “Shuggie”. Lets hope the same can been said about their debut album, We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic. It comes out January 22 via Jagjaguwar.
