It’s been a while since the last time I saw Free Energy at the Knitting Factory (try 2 1/2 years). On Saturday the band rocked it as if they had never left. The band always come out and give the fans a good time, no matter where they are. They took the time to play some new stuff off their upcoming album, including the incredible “Dance All Night” and “Electric Fever”, which they released earlier in the year. Another standout new song is “Girls Want Rock.”

As always it was great to jam out to songs like “Something In Common” again, which always cause me to recall dozens of great memories that the song has provided me. That’s the beauty of Free Energy, it’s easy music to rock out to with your friends, allowing so many possible bonding experiences. That’s what music is all about, isn’t it?

Have never been let down by Free Energy at a show. Why would they start now?
