Pretty & Nice – Hibernate

By Will Oliver, November 6th 2012 Listen New Stream

Pretty & Nice kick off “Hibernate” sounding like The Shins circa early 2000’s. Then with a blink of an eye the song transitions into varying levels of colorful rhythms that dance and echo around each other. The song can’t stay put, creating what is honestly one of the most refreshing sounds that I have heard of late.

There’s not one easy way to slap a genre onto what they are doing on “Hibernate”, and that’s a damn good thing in 2012.

It’s off their Us You All We EP, which is out today via Pax Natural/Lost Colony Music. You can stream it over at Spinner.
