One thing’s for sure, Doldrums is not your typical artist. One listen to the disgruntled effect heavy Guy Dallas featured track “She Is The Wave” and you will understand what I mean.
Doldrums is 23-year-old Montreal artist Airick Woodhead. It doesn’t shock that he is good friends with Grimes, as many see him as the male counterpart to her.
“She Is The Wave” is his latest single release, out now via Arbutus Records. Listen below via it’s music video.
I saw them briefly at CMJ, and have had “Egypt” stuck in my head ever since. It’s from their previously released EP of the same title.
