The 1975 are a band making Manchester proud, one EP at a time, and soon to draw in audiences from all over. Today the group released a new EP titled Sex via Vagrant Records. This is their 2nd release of the year, as they already released the Facedown EP.
One listen to the EP will deploy you into a mindset of a young band with big aspirations. Theirs a cold-drawn atmosphere to their sound that reminds me of acts like Glasvegas. They go for the epic and the dramatic, which is the case on the standout track “Sex”.
They are currently working on their debut album with producer Mike Crossey, whose worked with Arctic Monkeys & Foals. It’s looking like it will have a Spring 2013 release, which should give you enough time to digest their EP’s first.
