The National haven’t released an album in 2 years, but seem to stay busy releasing stuff. This spring they delivered “The Rains Of Castamere” to Game Of Thrones, they just covered the Thanksgiving song from Bob’s Burgers, and now they have worked with Boardwalk Empire. These guys are becoming TV juggernauts.

For Boardwalk Empire The National covered Isham Jones And The Ray Miller Orchestra’s 1924 jazz tune “I’ll See You In My Dreams.” The old-style tune fits perfect in the ready hands of the band and Matt’s vocals – which don’t seem misplaced one bit. It’s lovely.
