Well, this is surprising news. David Bowie is back, ending a silence of nearly a decade. He turned 66 today and as a celebration of sorts he released a new single titled “Where Are We Now?”. The single will appear on his new album The Next Day, which comes out March 12.
It doesn’t disappoint. Bowie gives a personal somber feel to it. After 10 years of silence, it seems rather fitting. It’s new David Bowie, and it’s pretty damn great. I don’t think any words I write can really do it justice. It has a classic appeal to it that should please fans, new, and old.

Bowie recorded the album in New York with producer Tony Visconti.
