Caveman released one of my favorite albums of 2011 with CoCo Beware. I have high, high, hopes for their new self-titled album. So far, I’m very pleased, as the first single from the album, “In The City” is a stunner.
The bands echoing guitar sound has become more expansive, yet it still hits home on a personal level. Matthew Iwanusa delivers a powerful vocal performance that just may be his best to date. These loyal New Yorkers have graced us with something that shouldn’t be ignored. Caveman are one of the best bands cooking, and you’re being disloyal to yourself if you’re not letting them into your life.
They will grace Webster Hall on April 10, a week after their new album comes out April 2 on Fat Possum.
