Pageants are a Long Beach trio led by former Avi Buffalo member Rebecca Coleman. They have released a solid 7″ single that should set the table for their eventual debut album. The 7″ features two tracks, “Musings Of The Tide”, and “August Moon.”
“Musings Of The Tide” is a California minded sunny slab on lo-fi garage rock that briefly made me forget about the work of Nemo. “August Moon” leans more on a slower ballad side, but is just as comforting in its own way.
