Port St. Willow released one of the best albums of 2012 with Amawalk, which somehow lacked the universal praise of all music publications out there. Their a band that create a powerful sound that is unlike anyone else out there. I really fell in love with their music after seeing them twice at CMJ, and haven’t looked back since.
They played their first show in a while last night at the Mercury Lounge to a quiet but attentive crowd. Everyone in the room was in awe just admiring the way that they ease in and out of each track of their well composed set which seemed like one collective whole rather than a set of songs.
