It makes me shake my head at myself thinking that my first time seeing Brooklyn band Parquet Courts was in Austin, Texas. Go figure. But, I finally saw them, and it was good. They have a really tight sound that is anchored by tight guitar riffage with compliments by a tense rhythm section. They make playing look so easy, which only adds to their charm.
I still can’t shake their song “Stoned and Starving”, which has been bouncing around my head for the entire week since I left the show.
