Taking in the history of Zooey Deschanel’s marriage, and divorce of Ben Gibbard, I think we can quickly guess as to who She & Him’s new song “I Could’ve Been Your Girl” is about.
The song’s content is bittersweet for sure, but there’s a twinge of an upbeat sunny nature to the song that is undeniably perfect for the spring weather.
It’s off She & Him’s new album Volume 3, which comes out May 7, 2013 via Merge Records. I’m liking it a bit more than the previous track we got.
