Thundercat, the project of bass-player Stephen Bruner is back with a great new single titled “Heartbreaks + Setbacks.” Flying Lotus produced the song, as well as the rest of Apocalypse, his new album, out July 9 via Brainfeeder.
The track features a funky bassline over some addictive r&b vocals that are simply breathtaking. It’s just instantly catchy, something that strikes you hard and doesn’t let off at any point. Pretty sexy stuff. Probably a good idea to play this song around your lady, but also to keep Thundercat away.
