Volcano Choir, the side project of Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon and Collections Of Colonies Of Bees is back with a new album. It’s titled Repave and Jagjaguwar will release it on September 3.
“Byegone” is the first song to be released from the album and it’s pretty awesome. It has an uplifting feel reminiscent of Bon Iver at first but then expands to something that reminds me more of Broken Social Scene if it was voiced by Vernon for a day. It’s quite lovely.
