Ducktails, the solo project of Real Estate guitarist Matt Mondanile, released an album earlier in the year called The Flower Lane. He’s back with a new release, this time an EP called Wish Hotel.
He recorded the EP at his house in his hometown of Ridgewood, New Jersey. He’s released a very dreamy cut called “Honey Tiger Eyes” as the first taste of the EP, that could have been mistaken as a Deerhunter track at first. It’s pretty spectacular. One of my favorite things that he’s ever done.
