Chicago band Casimer & Casimir caught my attention instantly with the wistful bliss of their lovely single “O Sweet Joe Pye.” The duo consists of an uncle and nephew who started the band after leaving Detroit at separate points, only to pick up the band when they both ended up moving to Chicago . Soon they were off making music, and it’s a good thing they did.
“O Sweet Joe Pye” shines brightly with the shimmer similar to that of ELO’s classic, “Mr. Blue Sky.” It instantly catches a catchy chord and blossoms into a joyful little anthem that you shouldn’t be without.
