Last week in was rumored that Joaquin Phoenix produced the new Pusha-T track, “King Push”, but this week he came out an denied the production credit. Apparently what happened was a friend’s son showed Phoenix the beat and he then made Kanye’s camp aware of it. Still a part of me wants to believe that Mr. Phoenix was behind this beat, because it’s great.
“King Push” is off of Pusha’s upcoming album My Name Is My Name which comes out October 8. It’s a very chill track, further proof that Pusha-T is one of the better minds in rap going, almost underrated by the general public when you really think about.
