Earlier in the week Tennis released their new EP Small Sound on Communion Records. So it made sense that they were a major component on the traveling Communion shows, including Tuesday night at Rockwood Music Hall.
I last saw Tennis at Brooklyn Bowl last April, so it’s been a while. More than ever with the new material from the EP, it remined me that this duo has now fully been fleshed out as a full band and it shows all for the better. They play more tightly, with more confidence, than ever before. The new material mixed so well with the bands earlier material, creating on hell of a set.
Tennis continue to finds ways to improve on themselves, becoming one of the most reliable bands in the game.
