Xiu Xiu will return with new album Angel Guts: Red Classroom on February 4 via Polyvinyl Records. It will be a quick follow-up to their Nina Simone tribute record Nina, which comes out on December 2. via Graveface Records.
They’ve given us a track from Angel Guts: Red Classroom called “Stupid In The Dark” which is an almost frightening, haunted, track full of evil aggression. They have a uniquely distinct sound that stays true with “Stupid In The Dark.”
The title of the album is taken from a 1979 erotic Japanese film. You can definitely hear that with the song. Check it out below.
