Coachella 2014

You hear the sound of the internet exploding? Yeah, that’s because Coachella just dropped their 2014 lineup.

As expected, Outkast are indeed reuniting at the fest. Muse and Arcade Fire are the other big three headliners. In addition here are some acts that are appearing that caught my eye: The Replacements, Neutral Milk Hotel, The Knife, Queens Of The Stone Age, Beck, Broken Bells, Pharrell Williams, Foster The People, Disclosure, Lana Del Rey, Motorhead, Girl Talk, Chromeo, Haim, Pet Shop Boys, MGMT, Empire Of The Sun, Sleigh Bells, Beady Eye, Duck Sauce, Neko Case, The Afghan Whigs, The Cult, Jagwar Ma, Dum Dum Girls, CHVRCHES, Temples, The Naked and Famous, Warpaint, Mogwai, Washed Out, Ty Segall, Darkside, Bombay Bicycle Club, Holy Ghost!, Foxygen, White Lies, The Dismemberment Plan, Blood Orange, Chance The Rapper, Superchunk, and Surfer Blood.

Outkast, Arcade Fire, and Muse are all headliners I’d be really glad to see myself (say what you want about Muse’s new material, but their live show is insane). However, aside from a few cool rare acts such as The Replacements, Neutral Milk Hotel, and The Knife, the lineup didn’t grab me all that much as all the rest are bands that I can probably see at some other point in the year. Especially living in New York. But if you’re going this year, you should still find plenty of good stuff to make it worthwhile.

The festival will once again occur over two weekends: April 11-13 and April 18-20. Tickets go on sale friday.
