Over the last week or so, Real Estate have been teasing something on their newly opened instagram account. As it turns out, it was all leading up to the announcement of their new album Atlas, which will be released 0n March 4 via Domino. At midnight they premiered their new single “Talking Backwards,” and boy, is it a good one.
“Talking Backwards” shows Real Estate expand on the sound they harnessed and made their own on their last album Days. Sunny guitars, vocals drenched in melancholy, and feeling of the summer that is not too far off. It’s great to hear Real Estate back, especially when they’re sounding this great.
