It’s Happening.
LCD Soundsystem will finally release the official audio from their unforgettable final concert at Madison Square Garden. The show went down on April 2, 2011, so it’s well overdue (although we got a documentary about the concert). The album will be a 5xLP box set that gets it’s first release on Record Store Day (April 19) and then a full release May 20 (via Warner Bros). It’s titled The Long Goodbye: LCD Soundsystem Live at Madison Square Garden.
The album is about four hours long and was produced and mixed by James Murphy, who took his time to make sure that it came out right. As someone who was lucky enough to be there, I can’t wait to finally hear this album in all its glory.
