I’m excited to see what Marc Webb does with The Amazing Spider-Man 2, mainly to see how he balances all the different villains set to appear in the film. I was so focused on the film that I didn’t pay much attention the its soundtrack.
There’s an Alaicia Keys contribution on it called “It’s On Again” that features Kendrick Lamar. He kicks it off with an absolutely vicious and raw verse, before handing it back to Keys, who delivers a typically safe pop song. It’s 100% worth diving into just to hear Lamar tear into it as if it’s his last effort.
